Illegal Israeli settlers, on Saturday night, vandalized a number of bulldozers that were parked at the site of a road working project in the Jordan Valley region, the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian News and Info Agency (WAFA) reported.
Salah Zayed, the project contractor, said that he and staff of the company were shocked to see that Jewish settlers had filled the fuel tanks with sand, making the bulldozers inoperative.
He said the attack occurred in the area classified as Area A, under the security and civil control of the Palestinian Authority.
Settler violence is commonplace across the occupied West Bank, and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities as the Palestinian Authority has no jurisdiction over Israeli settlers.

This came in a news conference held by Farhan Haq, deputy spokesperson for the Secretary-General, at the UN headquarters in New York.
The multi-year humanitarian response plan, which kicked off in 2018, encompasses 199 projects that will be implemented by 85 organizations, including 43 national non-governmental organizations (NGOs), 32 international NGOs, and 10 UN agencies.
About 76 percent of the requested funds target Gaza, where the humanitarian situation remains extremely fragile.

Israeli occupation authorities, Tuesday, notified a Palestinian school in the town of Samou, to the south of Hebron, to stop working, claiming that it has been constructed in an area which threatens archaeological sites.
Palestinian Ministry of Education said, in a statement, that Israeli occupation authorities notified for the cessation of work in the Simaya elementary school, affiliated with the Directorate of Education, to the south of Hebron, located in Al-Samou area.
The Ministry noted that the Israeli step is a part of a campaign against the school and dozens of other schools, under fake pretexts.
The step threatens Palestinian students’ right to education, a right which is guaranteed by all international laws, charters and customs.
Al Ray further reports that the move coincided with the International Day for Human Rights, revealing Israel’s oppressive agenda and its continued violation of the rights of the Palestinian people, especially the right of students to education.
The school serves more than 40 students in the targeted areas that are subject to Israeli aggression.
In related news, Palestinian students on a field trip, today, at the Sebastia archaeological site, in the north of the West Bank, were harassed by Israeli soldiers, who detained them at the site, according to Sebastia’s mayor, Mohammad Azem.
Azem told WAFA that soldiers broke into the site, to the north of Nablus city, while the students were on a field trip, and detained the students inside it.
He said that soldiers harassed the students and provoked confrontations in the area.
Israel has been trying to take over the site, as it encourages settlers to visit it while preventing Palestinians from caring for it, even though it is located in the heart of the occupied West Bank.
The present town of Sebastia, including the archaeological remains, the historical town, and the cultural landscape, is one of Palestine’s major tourist attractions.
A series of restorative activities was carried out in the historic core, including renovation of the mosque, the shrine of Nabi Yahyia, the Cathedral of John the Baptist, the Roman mausoleum, the olive press, Kayed Palace, and the traditional buildings, along with a walking trail.

He said that Israeli soldiers in the area did not intervene to stop the settlers, but rather provided them with cover and protection.
Shepherds live off of the livestock they raise and often take their sheep to the open pastures, to feed.

The Israeli occupation navy on Wednesday morning opened fire at Palestinian fishermen and their boats off the coast of Khan Younis in the south of the besieged Gaza Strip.
According to local sources, Israeli naval soldiers opened machinegun fire from their gunboats towards fishermen working within the permitted fishing zone, forcing them to return ashore.
Israeli gunboats are around Gaza fishermen almost every day, harassing them, shooting at them, damaging their boats, and making arrests. Sometimes fishermen are injured or killed during gunfire attacks.
Under the 1993 Oslo accords, Palestinian fishermen are permitted to fish up to 20 nautical miles off the coast of Gaza, but since then Israel has kept reducing the fishing area gradually to a limit between six to three nautical miles as part of its blockade on Gaza.
