Israeli soldiers invaded, on Tuesday at dawn, several areas in the occupied West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, and kidnapped seven Palestinians.
The soldiers invaded the southern West Bank city of Hebron, and nearby Beit Ummar town, broke into and searched dozens of homes, and kidnapped two Palestinians.
Media sources in Hebron said dozens of soldiers invaded various neighborhoods in the city, and kidnapped Anas Nimir Mujahid and Mahmoud Azzam al-Haddad.
The soldiers installed roadblocks in the city, interrogated many Palestinians, and searched many cars.
The soldiers also fired gas bombs and concussion grenades during clashes with several school students in the city, causing scores to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation, especially near the Ibrahimi Mosque, in Hebron.
Coordinator of the Popular Committee against the Wall and Settlements in Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron, Mohammad Ayyad Awad, said the soldiers invaded Mothallath al-‘Ein area before breaking into the home of resident Nasri Sabarna, and searching it.
The soldiers used excessive force while searching the property, leading to an argument that developed into a scuffle, and the soldiers kidnapped three of Sabarna’s sons, identified as Rashid, 31, Yousef, 29, and Roshdi, 21, before taking them to the Etzion military and security base, north of Hebron.
The army also installed roadblocks on the main entrances of Sa’ir and Halhoul towns, in addition to the al-Fawwar Junction and Hebron’s northern entrance, before stopping and searching dozens of cars, while investigating the ID cards of the passengers and interrogating them.
Furthermore, the soldiers kidnapped a school student while walking near Karmie Tzur illegal colony, built on Palestinian lands, allegedly after they searched her and “located a knife in her bag.” The army said the child, 13, was moved to an interrogation facility.
In related news, the soldiers invaded Qabatia town, south of Jenin, broke into the home of Hasan Ashour, and searched it while interrogating him and his family.
The invasion led to clashes between the soldiers and local youths; the army fired gas bombs and several live rounds; no injuries were reported.
In Jerusalem, the soldiers kidnapped a teenage Palestinian girl, 16 years of age, in Bab al-‘Amoud area, allegedly after she "attempted to stab a soldier."
In Ramallah, the soldiers installed a military roadblock near a local school, close to settlement road #443, west of Ramallah.
School principal Samer Bader said the soldiers invaded the school twice on Monday, allegedly after some students "hurled stones on settlers' cars, and military vehicles."
The Israeli allegation was proven false after a review of the school’s surveillance tapes.

The Quds University slammed on Saturday the Israeli occupation for having assaulted the campus and wreaked havoc on its properties, vowing that its academic mission will keep going despite Israeli vandalism.
The Quds University administration said in a press conference in al-Bireh the Israeli occupation army has stormed the campus on several earlier occasions and used bullet fire and explosives, inflicting remarkable material damage on the university.
Vice President of the Quds University for Communication and Development, Hassan Dweik, said Israeli assaults on the campus make part of preplanned schemes against Jerusalem’s only university.
Dweik warned of the serious repercussions of such attacks on the students’ intellectual potentials and academic career. Earlier, on Friday morning, the Israeli occupation patrols rolled into the Quds University, in Abu Dis, and rummaged into the campus after they locked up the supervision staff in a single classroom.

The University of Haifa on Monday issued decisions suspending three Palestinian students as punishment for their involvement in heckling a visiting Egyptian lecture last December as he was talking about coexistence between Arabs and Jews.
The university discipline committee accused the students, Gul Ilyas, Marwan Abu Atta and Mutasem Zaidan, of violating the Haifa University’s accepted rules and damaging the reputation of the university and its guests.
The committee issued verdicts suspending the students for one semester, and obliging them to engage in social works for the public, apologize in writing to the administration of the university and the Egyptian lecturer, Omar Salem, and not to attend student events for two months.
The university public prosecutor, however, called for dismissing the students from the university instead of suspending them.
During a disciplinary hearing held for them, the three students defended their behaviors at the lecture and described the University of Haifa as one of the Zionist enterprise's wings and tyrannical bodies.
Egyptian lecturer Omar Salem went to Haifa university last December to discuss his book "The missing peace: The role of religion in the Arab-Israeli conflict," which promotes normalizing relations with Israel, when students heckled him and described as "a traitor and a collaborator with the Zionists.

Birzeit University Condemns Israeli’s Constant Violations of the Right of Education
Official Press Statement from Birzeit University 01/11/16:
In the early morning hours, the Israeli occupation army invaded Birzeit University campus. This is neither new nor unprecedented given the ongoing colonial aggression against the people and institutions of Palestine. Birzeit University condemns this attack and the direct violation of the sanctity of the university campus. This is a belligerent military attack on the university and our right to education and all the principles involved in the freedom of education.
More than fifteen military Israeli vehicles raided Birzeit University at 2:50 in the morning breaking through the entrance to the university through the western gate. The military forces invaded the Student Council building and the Faculty of Science. They forcibly deterred our University security personnel as they invaded these buildings. The military confiscated equipment and computers used in the activities of the students council and destroyed and damaged furniture leaving a great deal of havoc behind. This is a blatant attack on our student council and the sanctity of democratic values. This violation of the campus is a part of a systematic attack on the right of education and freedom of expression.
Birzeit University condemns the continuous Israeli occupation military’s invasions of university campuses throughout Palestine. Eighty students at Birzeit University, in addition to hundreds of students throughout other universities in Palestine, are in Israeli prisons, more than twenty-five arrested and detained in the last three months alone. Stealing our students lives and working to destroy the sanctity of our university campus and our right to education is an atrocious and obvious attempt to destroy the will of the Palestinian people. The University condemns these outrageous acts in the strongest possible terms and calls upon all international and human rights organizations to speak this truth loudly in the face of these violations immediately and without reserve and to stand in solidarity with our struggle.
The University’s administration confirms that despite these constant Israeli attacks and their repressive measures against students, they shall only strengthen the University’s commitment to its noble cause - education.

In the afternoon of 5 January 2015 Israeli Forces raided Al Faihaa elementary school for girls in occupied Al-Khalil (Hebron). Children were not in school at the time, only teachers were present.
The team of around 8 soldiers entered in order to retrieve video footage from the school’s security system and take photos from the roof which overlooks the checkpoint where a soldier was shot a few days prior. This is one stop of many places the military has raided in search of evidence of the unidentified shooter.
The headmaster of the school informed that she was kept at gunpoint and not allowed to leave for an hour. She asked the soldiers to call the Minister of Education and speak with them as she was alone in the office, but they confiscated both the school phone and her personal cell phone leaving her unable to make any phone calls or take pictures. This is not the first time Israeli forces have entered the school. In previous weeks, soldiers entered the courtyard during school time while students were preparing for exams to fire tear gas at a neighboring boys’ school.
The school is now on holiday for three weeks, and the headmaster, working at the school for 2 years, explains, “I should come to work during vacation 1 day a week, but no teachers or anyone will come so its not safe.”
In addition to facing terror from soldiers, teachers and students have also endured harassment and attacks from settlers. The school’s population has dropped in the last year from 260 students to 252, but the headmaster explains that she refuses to transfer students to other schools because “they” (the Israeli Forces and settlers) want this area and the school closed. The school and the neighboring family home where soldiers also entered to take photos, are the only things still open in the area right next to the closed Shuhada street where Palestinians are forbidden. Thus keeping the school open and running is important and a form of resistance against the occupation.
