Israeli soldiers shot, earlier Monday, three Palestinians with rubber-coated steel bullets, and caused dozens to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation, in Orif village, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, after the residents intercepted illegal colonialist settlers invading their village, and attacked homes.
Adel Amer, the Secretary of Orif Local Council, said the Palestinians intercepted dozens of colonists, who infiltrated into the village at dawn, before the soldiers attacked the villagers, and fired live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets and gas bombs.
He added that the soldiers shot three Palestinians with rubber-coated steel bullets, and caused dozens to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation.
Amer also said that many soldiers surrounded the area leading to Orif Secondary School, just as the students started heading to there in the morning, and prevented them from approaching it.
The soldiers abducted two children, who remain identified at the time of this report, and took them to a nearby military base.
Furthermore, the soldiers invaded the home of Samir Mohammad Sawalma, and detained him and his family in one room, before using the property and its rooftop as a military post and a monitoring tower.

Dozens of Palestinian students and teachers suffocated after inhaling tear gas fired by Israeli forces toward an elementary school in Hebron, in the southern West Bank, said WAFA correspondence.
Israeli soldiers fired a barrage of tear gas canisters toward an elementary school in the southern part of Hebron city, causing suffocation to dozens of students and teachers. They were all treated at the scene.
To be noted, Palestinian schools in the southern part of Hebron, which is located in Area C of the West Bank, under complete Israeli civil and military control, are constantly subjected to systematic attacks by the Israeli army.

Israel’s Supreme Court issued a verdict green-lighting the demolition of the Palestinian school of Tahadi 5 in Beit Ta’mur village, east of Bethlehem.
Director of the Anti-Settlement Committee in Bethlehem Hasan Brijiya said the court rule signaled the go-ahead for the demolition of the school by the Israeli military and settlers.
Attorney Emil Mashreki will reportedly file an appeal at Israel’s Central Court to outlaw the demolition of the school.
Brijiya said the Palestinian locals will maintain vigil in the area so as to stand on guard to any projected demolition measure.

The Israeli occupation forces on Sunday afternoon cracked down on Palestinian schoolchildren near al-Laban al-Sawiya School, south of Nablus.
Eye-witnesses said schoolchildren were detained by Israeli soldiers on their way back home from of al-Laban al-Sawiya School.
The occupation forces detained a number of schoolchildren for hours and subjected them to intensive questioning.
Schoolchildren were forced to walk through rock-strewn roads after the occupation army sealed off the main access road to the area.
Sometime earlier, dozens of Palestinian students were injured after Israeli forces attacked them with teargas canisters in separate assaults across the occupied West Bank.

Violent clashes broke out on Saturday evening between Palestinian young men and Israeli soldiers near Tahadi School in Beit Ta'mir town, east of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank.

The soldiers intensively fired tear gas and stun grenades at the angry young men to disperse them. No one was reportedly injured during the events.

However, the young men managed to fend off the troops and forced them to leave the town.

Israeli soldiers invaded Thursday, Beit Ta’mar Palestinian village, east of the West Bank city of Bethlehem, and started firing live rounds at students, teachers and officials of the Ministry of Education, during a school celebration.
Media sources said the soldiers, and many illegal colonialist settlers, surrounded the area, before the army attacked the children, staffers and families, who were celebrating, singing and performing Dabka, in the Tahadi Basic School in the village. The very presence of the soldiers and the settlers caused fear in many children, who started crying before the soldiers fired many gas bombs and concussion grenades at the school, resulting in injuries, while many children suffered anxiety attacks. |
Palestinian Education Minister Sabri Saidam denounced the serious Israeli violations and attacks against the children.
“The children were just celebrating, there are no words to describe the serious assault,” he said, “the army hurt those children, and replaced their songs with cries, tears and terror.”
The head of the Bethlehem branch of the Minister of Education, Sami Marwa, said education ministry officials, and representatives of the UNESCO in Palestine, were visiting the school, before the soldiers opened fire.
He added that many soldiers and illegal colonialist settlers also gathered near the main gate of al-Khansa’ School for Girls, in Teqoua town east of Bethlehem, while a UNESCO delegation was visiting it.

Classes at an elementary school in Khirbet Ibzeik, in the northern Jordan Valley, in the occupied West Bank, were disrupted on Thursday when Israeli soldiers raided the school and destroyed a teaching facility.
School headmaster Firas Daraghmeh said Israeli raided the campus and dismantled a tent used by teaching staff and students.
The soldiers also blocked roads leading to the school and prevented students and teachers from reaching it.
The tent was set up after the army dismantled and seized caravans in the school in October.
Classes at the targeted school, which provides courses for students from grade one to the 6th grade, are taught by four instructors.
Israel does not allow Palestinians to build in the Jordan Valley, which is classified as Area C and makes up over 60 percent of the occupied West Bank.
The Israeli military often demolishes whatever Palestinians build in the area under the pretext of unlicensed construction.

The settlement organization known as “Regavim” has filed a lawsuit, in an Israeli court, to demolish the Tahaddi 5 school, in the Beit Ta’mar area, east of Bethlehem.
The head of the office for the Wall and Settlement Resistance Committee in Bethlehem, Hassan Brejiya, said that the lawyer of Saint Yves for defense of land, Emile Mashreqi, told the committee that the settlement institution has filed a racist claim in an Israeli court, against the school, in order to demolish it.
Brejiyya explained, according to the PNN, that the school has been subjected to demolition attempts over and over, and had previously been demolished on the first day of school, for the year 2016-2017.
He pointed out that this institution is responsible for monitoring Palestinian homes in Area C, and is always directing the Israeli Civil Administration to demolish houses and influence the suspension of construction there, as it was behind the administrative demolition in the occupied West Bank, which was stopped recently.

Local sources told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that Israeli troops aboard patrol vehicles blocked the way of several students of the Sawiya and Lubban school, forcing them to use a long and rough route to reach their school.
The IOF had closed the school temporarily last month, claiming that settlers’ cars were thrown with stones on a nearby road.

Killet al-Dabe school, located in Masafer Yatta village, is attended by 12 students. It was opened by the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education in October in defiance of the Israeli occupation.
