The Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ministry Thursday night announced that the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases and the death toll among Palestinians in the diaspora have risen to 3,801 and 193 respectively.
The ministry said in a statement that there were 3,801 confirmed novel coronavirus cases, 193 fatalities and 1,643 recovery cases among Palestinians in the diaspora.
Providing more details, the ministry confirmed that a 78-year-old Palestinian died of the highly contagious virus and another tested positive for it in Saudi Arabia, raising the Palestinian death toll and confirmed cases in the country to 52 and 104 respectively.
In the US, an 82-year-old Palestinian died due to the virus in New Jersey and 14 others contracted it in Washington, Michigan and New York, bringing the death toll and confirmed cases among Palestinians in the country to 68 and 2,062 respectively.
In Qatar, the ministry statement pointed out that 26 Palestinians contracted the virus and 20 others recovered from it in this country, bringing the total Palestinian confirmed cases and recovery cases to 708 and 610 respectively.

Four diaspora Palestinians have died from coronavirus today raising the total dead from among the Palestinian communities abroad to 191, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
It also said 75 new cases were recorded while 55 have recovered among Palestinians worldwide.
Palestine Embassy in Iraq said two members of the Palestinian community in that country have died, bringing the total dead among Palestinians to eight. At the same time, 40 new cases were recorded, raising the total there to 101, and 54 have recovered.
Another fatality among the Palestinians in the United State was recorded, raising the total dead there among Palestinians to 67, while 30 new cases were recorded for a total of 2048.
The fourth fatality was in Chile, according to the Palestinian embassy, which makes it the first in that South American country. Only seven coronavirus cases were recorded there among the Palestinian community.
It also said 75 new cases were recorded while 55 have recovered among Palestinians worldwide.

The ministry said in a statement that there were 3,544 confirmed novel coronavirus cases, 182 fatalities and 1,523 recovery cases among Palestinians in the diaspora.
Providing more details, the ministry pointed out that a 70-year-old Palestinian died due to the virus in the US, raising the total fatalities among Palestinians in the US to 66.
It added that one Palestinian tested positive for the virus in Michigan and six others contracted it in Venezuela.
Recoveries have totaled 1,523, leaving a total of 1,839 active cases.

Three members of the Palestinian community in Saudi Arabia were reported dead yesterday after contracting coronavirus disease, which raises the number of corona-related deaths among diaspora Palestinians to 178, said the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
It said a total of 50 Palestinians have died from the disease in Saudi Arabia while the number of infected remained at 102.
Elsewhere in the world, the Ministry said 23 new corona cases were reported among the Palestinian community in Qatar to raise the number of infected Palestinians there to 627, two of them reported in critical condition, while the number of dead stood at seven.
In the United States, which had the largest number of corona cases among diaspora Palestinians, eight new cases were confirmed in Michigan and New York states, raising the number of corona cases among Palestinians in the US to 1916 while deaths stood at 64.

Two members of the Palestinian community in Iraq have died yesterday of coronavirus raising the total deaths among diaspora Palestinians to 175, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
Total number of corona cases among Palestinians in the diaspora stood at 3469 while 1476 have recovered, it said.
A total of six Palestinians in Iraq have died of corona so far and with 20 new cases among the Palestinians recorded yesterday, the total number reached 60 in that country with 10 patients recovered, said the Ministry.
Seven new corona cases among Palestinians in the United States were recorded yesterday, it added, raising the total there to 1905 while the number of fatalities among the Palestinian community in the US stood at 64.
Three new cases were also recorded in Brazil, raising the total there to 51 and three deaths.
One other new case among Palestinians was recorded in South Africa, said the Ministry.

The ministry said that two Palestinians aged 60 and 84, died to the virus and 10 others contracted it in Iraq, raising the total death toll and confirmed cases among Palestinians in the country to four and 40 respectively.
Meanwhile, the ministry recorded the first two coronavirus cases among Palestinians in Colombia.
In Pakistan, another Palestinian tested positive for COVID-19, raising the total cases among Palestinians in this country to two.

The ministry said in a statement that the total of confirmed COVID-19 patients among Palestinians in the diaspora increased to 2,704, while the number of fatalities and recovery cases among them stood at 161 and 1,397.
Providing more details, the ministry said that 40 Palestinians tested positive in the US, bringing the total conformed cases among Palestinians in the country to 1,251 as the death toll stood at 63.
The new COVID-19 patients were identified as residents of Ohio, Chicago, California, Michigan, Florida and Dallas.
It added that three others, all members of the same family, contracted the virus in Ukraine.
