of the police attacking the Arab students, and expressed support with the police targeting the Arab-Palestinian students at the Hebrew University.
On Monday, a group known as “I will Not Serve In Your Army” issued a statement calling for mass protests, stressing on the importance of countering all Israeli attempts to enlist Arabs in the army that occupies their land and their people.
Qusai Abufool, coordinator of the Students Movement at the National Democratic Alliance, stated that the students will protest again, on Wednesday, at the Tel Aviv University and the Technion College.
He added that protests were held, Tuesday, at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and Ben Gurion University in the Negev, in protest of enlistment in the Israeli army.
“This attack is an attack against protesters practicing their legitimate right,” he said. “This is a racist attack against Arab-Palestinian students, university police and administration are responsible for this assault.”
Abufool further stated that the students will continue their protest, and called on all Arab students at the Tel Aviv University, and the Technion College to protest again on Wednesday.
Israel decided to call on Arab Christian young men to “voluntarily serve in the Israeli army”, while head of the coalition of Benjamin Netanyahu’s government said, a few weeks ago, that “Israel wants to create a new identity for Christians, similar to the Druze identity.”
Last week, the Higher Follow-up Committee in historic Palestine issued a release affirming the rejection to any sort of enlistment in the Israeli army, as the army is an army of occupation and oppression against the Palestinians, regardless of their faith.
In August of last year, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a meeting with Father Jubrael Naddaf, known for his stances encouraging enlistment in the Israeli military, despite massive objections from the Palestinian Christian community in the country.
Back then, the Palestinian Christian Initiative (Kairos Palestine) issued a statement strongly denouncing the Israel attempts to recruit Arab Palestinian Christians, in historic Palestine, to the Israeli military which occupies their people.
“Those who call for recruiting Christians to the occupation army do not represent us, do not represent our Churches, and do not represent the Christians,” Kairos said. “It seems that some of those who have been deceived chose a wrong path that does not serve our interests and faith as Arab Christians.”
It added that trying to recruit the Christians is immoral, and harms the Palestinian Christian identity in the Holy Land.
“We need to be united, we need to protect our national identity, only our Arab, Palestinian identity will be able to protect us, and protect our interests,” Kairos said. “Our choice will not be sectarian, but will only be national unity between all Palestinians regardless of their belief and faith.”

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) razed a Palestinian house in Rafat village, to the north west of occupied Jerusalem, on Monday. Palestinian police in Ramallah said in a statement that IOF soldiers in 40 army vehicles escorted military bulldozers into the village and razed the house of Samer Abu Ghazala.
It pointed out that the house contained only a single room and a bathroom, adding that the bulldozers destroyed grapevines and a fence surrounding the house in the process.
Abu Ghazala, the house owner, said that the soldiers bulldozed his simple house and the vineyards that used to provide him and his family with a source of living.
Meanwhile, IOF soldiers served a notice to a Palestinian man in a hamlet near Yatta town, south of al-Khalil, that he should tear down his tent.
Local activists also said that IOF soldiers with maps broke into Fakhit school in Yatta and took photos of its buildings without giving an explanation for the act.

The 'tire school' in al-Khan al-Ahmar
A school made of tires in the sensitive E1 area east of Jerusalem is slated for destruction by Israel, but its case is being reviewed by the Supreme Court, a local spokesman told Ma'an.
Eid Khamis Sweilim, a spokesman of Bedouin communities in Jerusalem district, told Ma'an that the school in the Bedouin village of al-Khan al-Ahmar houses 128 pupils aged eight to 13 from five different Bedouin communities.
Shortly after it was built, Israeli settlers from nearby Kfar Adumim appealed to Israeli courts requesting the school be demolished, and it has since faced repeated demolition threats, Sweilim said.
The Area-C village's residential structures have also been threatened with demolition, as they were built without Israeli permission after their construction permit applications were denied by Israeli authorities.
"A structural plan for the Bedouin communities has been submitted to the Israeli Civil Administration, but it was rejected," Sweilim said, adding that the plan was funded by the British consulate-general in Jerusalem.
Bedouins in al-Khan al-Ahmar appealed to the Israeli Supreme Court against demolition threats, and a decision on the matter is expected to be made on May 15, Sweilim said.
The school was built by villagers and international volunteers in 2009, constructed using tires, clay, and a wooden roof because Israeli authorities forbade the use of stone and concrete.
Funding for the school was provided by European donors.

Al-Khan al-Ahmar is a Bedouin village surrounded by the illegal Israeli settlements of Maale Adumim and Kfar Adumim.
E1 is an area northeast of Jerusalem and west of the illegal Israeli settlement of Maale Adumim. Israeli plans for settlement construction in the area have been strongly opposed by the international community, including the US.
Critics say Israeli settlement construction in E1 would divide the West Bank in two and make the creation of a contiguous Palestinian state -- as envisaged by the internationally backed two-state solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict -- virtually impossible.
Israel rarely grants Palestinians permits to build in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem. It has demolished at least 27,000 Palestinian homes and structures since occupying the West Bank in 1967, according to the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions.
More than 500,000 Israeli settlers live in settlements across the West Bank and East Jerusalem, in contravention of international law.
The internationally recognized Palestinian territories of which the West Bank and East Jerusalem form a part have been occupied by the Israeli military since 1967.

Violent conformations broke out on Tuesday after four Israeli military vehicles raided al-Khalil university and arrested several students. Surprisingly, the event came at a time when PA security forces, frequently stationing in front of the university, withdrew from the area.
Eye-witnesses told PIC news reporter that four Israeli military vehicles raided the main street adjacent to the university and erected a military checkpoint. Several students were arrested and other students’ IDs were meticulously inspected, which led to the eruption of violent confrontations with IOF.
Several Palestinian citizens suffered breathing problems after IOF soldiers heavily fired tear gas canisters. Other students pushed their way hardly through the barrier to flee.
According to the eye-witnesses, military vehicles belonging to PA security apparatuses, so frequently deployed in front of the university so as to control students and members of the Islamic Bloc, shrunk back immediately.
Israeli attacks and bullying procedures against Palestinian students, including frequent abductions of members of the Islamic Bloc, seem to have gone unnoticed by PA security forces, who rapidly retreated from an area over which they had full sovereignty.

Meanwhile, violent clashes broke out in Tariq ibn Ziyad crossroads between IOF soldiers and citizens in a suburb south of Al-Khalil city. Local sources said that hundreds of Israeli settlers stormed Yatta town to perform Talmudic rituals in blatant provocation to Palestinian citizens, creating a state of panic among women and children.
The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) closed since the morning hours the town in order to pave the way for Israeli settlers' marches to mark Jewish holidays.

Israeli soldiers invaded various Palestinian communities in the occupied West Bank, broke into homes and searched them, installed roadblocks, and kidnapped at least eight young Palestinian men. The army also attacked and detained teachers and students in a Hebron school.
Local sources in Beit Awwa town, southwest of Hebron, stated that dozens of soldiers invaded the town and kidnapped three Palestinians after violently searching their homes.
The three have been identified as Suleiman Salem Masalma, 20, Ezzeddeen Mohammad Masalma, 18, and Jihad Hasan Masalma, 24.
Soldiers also invaded Beit Einoun area, east of Hebron, broke into homes and used their rooftops as military towers, and restricted freedom of movement of the Palestinians as settlers marched into the city.
In addition, several military jeeps also invaded Ithna and Tarqoumia towns, and were heavily deployed on several main roads in the western area of Hebron city, while an Israeli drone hovered overhead.
Medical sources said sixteen Palestinians were shot and injured by Israeli army fire in the center of Hebron city, during clashes with the invading soldiers.
Also, eyewitnesses said dozens of soldiers invaded the Ibrahimiyya School in Hebron, attacked teachers and students, and detained its headmaster, Mohammad Kamel Ja’afra, three teachers, and at least one student.
Several Israeli military jeeps also invaded the al-Karmel village, near Hebron, occupied rooftops of a number of homes, especially homes overlooking roads leading to Susiya, Ma’oun and Havat Ma’oun illegal settlements.
Furthermore, soldiers invaded Borqa village, near the northern West Bank city of Nablus, and kidnapped one Palestinian.
Another Palestinian was also kidnapped in Arraba town, near the northern West Bank city of Jenin, while the army claimed locating two weapons.
A Palestinian was also kidnapped after the soldiers broke into his home in Yasouf village, southwest of Nablus city.
Israeli military sources claimed all kidnapped Palestinians are “wanted for security violations”, and that they will be moved to various interrogation facilities.

So at 1:20 pm the children decided to walk home via a longer path that crosses Palestinian- owned lands very close to the south-western side of Havat Ma’on. Because of the danger, international volunteers accompanied the children. At 1:50 pm two young Israeli settlers attacked the children and volunteers, throwing rocks with slingshots. The attack lasted about three minutes and forced the children to run toward the hills in order to reach the Palestinian village of Tuba.
The misconduct of the Israeli military escort often endangers the Palestinian children, whom the soldiers are obligated to protect. The schoolchildren were also attacked by Israeli settlers on April 9, while the escort was present.

Israeli settlers on Wednesday assaulted Palestinian school children in the southern West Bank, a school official said.
A school principal told Ma'an that a group of extremist Israeli settlers hurled stones at school girls in the village of al-Tuwani, leaving them bruised.
Israeli soldiers stood by and watched without taking action as the settlers threw rocks, the principal said.
The girls who sustained injuries were identified as Kifah Omar Abu Jundiyya and Dalal Awad Zein, both seventh graders.
In al-Tuwani and other areas in the southern Hebron district, school children on a daily basis wait at checkpoints for Israeli soldiers to let them through locked gates.
Regardless of Israeli military presence, settler attacks on children en route to and from school remain commonplace, the principal said.
In 2013, there were 399 incidents of settler violence against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
Over 90 percent of investigations into settler violence by Israeli police fail to lead to an indictment.

Israeli forces early Wednesday fired tear gas at a university campus in the central West Bank, administrators said.
Officials at the Salfit branch of al-Quds Open University told Ma'an that Israeli soldiers raided the campus and showered students with tear gas.
"Campus workers collected some 70 empty tear gas canisters," the officials said, adding that the gas prevented students from attending classes.
"The Israeli occupation's procedures targeting students and faculty of al-Quds Open University will never discourage the university from moving forward as planned," the administrators added.
An Israeli military spokeswoman did not immediately return calls seeking comment.
The Palestinian Authority Ministry of Higher Education condemned a similar raid on Jan. 22, when Israeli forces fired tear gas at students on the campus of al-Quds University in Abu Dis and damaged university property.
The ministry said at the time that the raid was part of a "continuous and systematic context of violations against the Palestinian institutions ... including the educational institutions and their cadres."

Israeli troops on Tuesday clashed with students of al-Quds University and the Abu Dis School for Boys in Abu Dis near Jerusalem.
Spokesman for the popular resistance committees Hani Halabiya told Ma’an that Israeli forces raided the village “in a provocative manner,” and stopped students and inspected their IDs.
This sparked clashes in which Israeli forces fired tear gas, stun grenades, and rubber-coated steel bullets.
Halabiya said Israeli forces raided the boys school in the village and detained three students aged between 12 and 14.
They were held and beaten in an Israeli military jeep before the school principle and other local officials intervened and managed to get them released, he said.
Israeli forces also raided the house of the director of the local village council Atif Erekat and searched it for "stone-throwers."
Halabiya added that Israeli forces fired stun grenades and tear gas at the campus, the civil defense headquarters, the department of motor vehicles, the military liaisons office, and the ministry of interior causing dozens to suffer from excessive gas inhalation.
He said Israeli forces used students as human shields to protect themselves from stones.
Israel's military referred inquiries to the border police. A spokesman in turn referred inquiries to the national police which did not immediately return calls Tuesday evening.
