Three Palestinians in Saudi Arabia have died today of coronavirus, raising the number of corona fatalities among Palestinian communities abroad to 223, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
It said that Abdel Aziz Suleiman Ahmad Barakeh, Adnan Mahmoud Salem Shabbir, and Khadija Mohammed Ghorab, ages 83, 54, and 91, respectively, have died of the disease.
The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases among Palestinians in the diaspora has reached 5612, said the ministry.

The Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ministry late Thursday announced 29 new novel coronavirus cases and one fatality among Palestinians in the diaspora.
The ministry said in a statement that 29 Palestinians tested positive for the highly contagious virus in the Michigan, Dallas, Ohio and Illinois, raising the total confirmed cases among Palestinians in the United States to 2,743.
The death toll among them stood at 72.
Meanwhile, the ministry pointed out that a 61-year-old Palestinian died due to the virus in Saudi Arabia, raising the death toll among Palestinians in the country to 69.
According to the latest coronavirus data, the confirmed cases in the Palestinian diaspora reached 4,875.
Recoveries have totaled 1,851, accounting for 38 percent of the total cases, and the death toll reached 220, accounting for 4.5 percent. This leaves a total of 2,804 active cases.
The ministry said in a statement that 29 Palestinians tested positive for the highly contagious virus in the Michigan, Dallas, Ohio and Illinois, raising the total confirmed cases among Palestinians in the United States to 2,743.
The death toll among them stood at 72.
Meanwhile, the ministry pointed out that a 61-year-old Palestinian died due to the virus in Saudi Arabia, raising the death toll among Palestinians in the country to 69.
According to the latest coronavirus data, the confirmed cases in the Palestinian diaspora reached 4,875.
Recoveries have totaled 1,851, accounting for 38 percent of the total cases, and the death toll reached 220, accounting for 4.5 percent. This leaves a total of 2,804 active cases.

With one new corona-related death, total among Palestinian expatriates reaches 211- Foreign Ministry
A new corona-related death of a member of the Palestinian community in Saudi Arabia has raised the total number of deaths from corona among Palestinian expatriates worldwide to 211, today said the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
It said with nine new corona cases recorded in the United States, the total so far among diaspora Palestinians has reached 4196 while 1741 have recovered.
It said the latest death in Saudi Arabia was for an 81-year-old woman, which brings the total deaths among the Palestinian community in that country to 65, and with the nine new cases in the US, the number there has reached 2260 and 70 deaths.

Sixty-seven new cases of coronavirus were recorded among Palestinians in Qatar, in addition to five cases in the United States, raising the total among Palestinians worldwide to 4177 cases, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.

It added that another Palestinian, aged 71, died due to the virus in Algeria, raising the total Palestinian death toll in the country to six.

A Palestinian expatriate living in Saudi Arabia has died yesterday after contracting coronavirus disease raising the total corona deaths among the Palestinian community in that country to 58 and worldwide to 201, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates. It identified the deceased as 66-year-old Ziad Husni Shurafa.
The Ministry said four new corona cases were confirmed yesterday among diaspora Palestinians, three of them in the United States where the overall number there has reached 2217 while deaths stood at 69, and the fourth case was confirmed in Morocco of an employee at the Palestinian embassy, the first case reported among the Palestinian community in that north African country.
With the new cases, the overall corona cases among Palestinians in the diaspora have reached 3971 while 1652 have recovered worldwide.
The Ministry also said that a new batch of 218 Palestinians who were stuck in the US due to closure of the airports as a result of the coronavirus pandemic has arrived at Queen Alia Airport in Jordan yesterday and immediately transported across the Jordan River bridge crossing to their homes in the West Bank.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry Thursday night announced that recovery cases and the death toll among Palestinians infected with the novel coronavirus pandemic in the diaspora have risen to 1,644 and 200 respectively.
The ministry said in a statement that the recovery cases and the death toll among Palestinian COVID-19 patients in the diaspora increased to 1,644 and 200 respectively, while the confirmed cases stood at 3,908.
Providing more details, the ministry said that a Palestinian died due to the highly contagious virus in Algeria, bringing the total Palestinian fatalities in this country to six.
The total confirmed Palestinian cases in Algeria stood at 21, including 14 recoveries.
The ministry said in a statement that the recovery cases and the death toll among Palestinian COVID-19 patients in the diaspora increased to 1,644 and 200 respectively, while the confirmed cases stood at 3,908.

In addition, 34 new coronavirus cases were confirmed among American-Palestinians, raising the total to 2150.
