Palestinian burning kites spark fire in Israeli border area

Palestinian burning kites, flown from Gaza, on Sunday landed in Israeli border fields and caused fire in four locations east of Jabalya, east of Beit Hanoun barrier, near Abu Safia military site and in Kisufim military site east of Khan Younis.

Palestinian youths have managed over the past few days to set fire to tens of thousands of dunums in Israeli different settlements along the borderline by burning kites in response to Israeli repeated crimes against the people in Gaza.

Israel’s settler gangs set fire to Palestinian land south of Nablus

Israeli settlers overnight on Saturday set fire to Palestinian lands in Huwara town, south of Nablus province, triggering tension in the area.

Speaking with the Palestinian Information Center (PIC), eye-witnesses said wildfires broke out in large areas of Huwara lands, located east of the illegal Israeli Yitzhar settlement outpost.

Moments after the arson attack, heavily-armed Israeli patrols cordoned off the main access road to the town and the bypass road in the area.

Local Palestinian farmer Munawar Odeh said the attack has not been the only one of its kind as Israel’s settler gangs routinely assault Palestinian olive groves and property in the area in the presence of the occupation army.

Army Injures Three Palestinians In Gaza

Israeli Tanks Along The Gaza Border

Israeli soldiers shot, Friday, three Palestinians, including a child, just before the weekly Great Return March started in the Gaza Strip.

Medical sources said the soldiers shot a child with two live rounds in his legs, east of Jabalia, in northern Gaza Strip.

They added that the soldiers also shot a young man with live fire, east of Gaza city.

Furthermore, an Israeli army sharpshooter shot a young man, just as he flew balloons carrying the colors of the Palestinian flag, east of the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza city, wounding him in the leg, before he was rushed to the Shifa Medical Center.

Later on, several young men flew burning kites into a military base across the border fence, east of Jabalia, in northern Gaza, causing fires.

In addition, Quds News Network has reported that the soldiers also arrested an Israeli colonialist settler near the border fence after he accidentally caused fire in a field on the Israeli side, while trying to launch a burning kite into Palestinian lands. Video

Israeli Colonizers Firebomb Relatives of Family Killed in 2015 Israeli Firebombing

A group of fanatic illegal Israeli colonizers hurled, on Friday at dawn, fire bombs at a home of the Dawabsha family in Douma village, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

Media sources in Nablus said the Israeli assailants hurled many firebombs into the home of Yasser Ahmad Dawabsha, as he and his family were sleeping.

They also caused damaged to the iron bars on the windows of the house and fled the scene.

The family, and neighbors rushed to extinguish the fire before Palestinian firefighters arrived at the scene and safely extinguished it.

Although the attack led to excessive property damage, the family managed to escape physically unharmed.

It is worth mentioning that on July 30th 2015, a group of terrorist Israeli colonizers hurled firebombs into the home of Sa’ad Dawabsha, 32, in a similar dawn attack, leading to his death along with his wife Reham, 27, and their 18-month-old Ali. The only survivor was their son Ahmad, 5.

Maariv: Flaming kites burned 5,000 dunums of farmland

Maariv newspaper said on Sunday that about 5,000 dunums of farmland in the Israeli settlements neighboring the Gaza Strip have been burned by flaming kites launched from the coastal enclave.

Maariv said on its website that the flaming kites phenomenon has made the Israelis living in settlements near the border fence with Gaza worried all the time.

The Hebrew newspaper pointed out that dozens of kites made of nylon with flaming rags attached to their tails are launched from Gaza daily causing heavy economic damages to farmlands behind the border fence.

According to Israeli estimates, the Palestinian flaming kites have burned 5,000 dunums of land so far. About 600-800 dunums have been burned in Be'eri settlement alone.

The Palestinian youths have been using flaming kites since the launch of the Great March of Return as a new form of popular protest setting vast tracts of settler lands near the border on fire.

Palestinians in Gaza have been marching peacefully since 30th March along Gaza's eastern borderline for their right of return. Dozens have been killed and thousands injured as a result of Israel's use of lethal force against the unarmed protesters.

Israel’s Price Tag gangs set fire to Palestinian vehicles

Members of the Israeli terror organization, Price Tag, set fire on Wednesday to two Palestinian-owned vehicles in the village of Iksal, in Nazareth, in territories occupied in 1948.

Israeli police reportedly arrived at the scene, collected evidence, and interviewed witnesses, but did not make any arrests.

The arson-attack was carried out at dawn time. The settlers also spray-painted graffiti reading “oh Jews let’s make it”.

Price Tag and other similar Israeli terror groups regularly carry out terror attacks against Palestinians across the occupied Palestinian territories.

Over recent months, Israeli terrorists have increasingly vandalized dozens of Palestinian vehicles in the occupied West Bank and Occupied Jerusalem.

Gaza blazing kites set fire to 5 Israeli locations

Five locations in Israel on Monday caught fire due to four kites affixed with flaming materials sent from Gaza Strip over the borderline east of . The fire ate wide swathes of wheat fields in southern Israel.

The burning kites are part of a new tactic utilized by Gazan protesters against Israel as part of the ongoing weekly demonstrations of the “Great March of Return” along the borderline.

Kite from Gaza sets fire to Israeli warehouse

A warehouse in Israel’s south was reportedly went on fire overnight Friday after a kite equipped with incendiary material, which had been released by Palestinian protesters in the Gaza Strip, landed there.

According to Yedioth Ahronoth news website, the kite was affixed with a Molotov cocktail or a flaming rag and caused a fire at an agricultural warehouse in an Israeli settlement community near the border.
 
Firefighters managed to control the fire, but the storage depot sustained considerable damage.

Palestinian kite carrying firebomb sparks fire in Israeli border area

The Israeli occupation army claimed that a homemade firebomb tied to a kite, which were flown by Palestinians from Gaza, landed in a border field near Kibbutz Be’eri and caused fire on Wednesday.

According to Israel’s Channel 14, Israeli firefighters extinguished a fire near Kibbutz Be’eri, where a burnt kite was found.

A Palestinian Information Center (PIC) correspondent reported seeing a large green area aflame in the lands surrounding the “Camera” military post east of Juhor ad-Dik.

Palestinian protesters rallying in Gaza border areas started recently to attach Molotov cocktails to kites and fly them over the security fence to spark several fires in cross-border areas

At least four such kites were discovered in the vicinity of fires near the border fence. The blazes only caused damage to fields.

Israeli Soldiers Attack The Weekly Procession In Bil’in

Israeli soldiers attacked, Friday, the weekly nonviolent procession against the illegal Annexation Wall and Colonies in Bil’in village, west of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, causing large areas of land to burn.

The Popular Committee against the Wall and Colonies in Bil’in said the procession started from the center of the village, heading towards Abu Lemon area.

It added that the protesters carried Palestinian flags, and chanted against the ongoing illegal Israeli occupation, escalation and the U.S. support to the oppression against the Palestinian People.

The protesters also chanted for national unity, the release of all detainees, the Right of Return to all refugees, liberation and independence.

Once the nonviolent protesters reached the gate of the Annexation Wall, many started banging on it with rocks, while others wrote graffiti, and chanted against the occupation.

The soldiers, stationed on military towers and surrounding hills, started firing gas bombs and concussion grenades, causing large areas of farmlands to burn.

Spokesperson of the Popular Committee, Dr. Rateb Abu Rahma, called for ongoing processions in every part of occupied Palestine, to counter the illegal Israeli and American policies against the legitimate Palestinian struggle for independence.

Israeli settlers burn Mosque in Nablus

Israeli settlers at dawn Friday torched a mosque in Aqraba town south of Nablus city and spray-painted racist slogans on its walls.

The PIC reporter said that the settlers poured flammable liquid at the entrance to Sheikh Sa'ada mosque and set it on fire causing some partial damages.

Aqraba mayor Ghaleb Mayadmeh told the PIC reporter that worshipers were shocked seeing the damages the fire caused when they headed to the mosque for dawn prayer.

Red Crescent paramedic Yousuf Deiriya said that a surveillance camera had spotted a masked settler torching the mosque's entrance and another spray-painting Hebrew graffiti that has the name of "Price Tag" gang.

In a related context, a group of Israeli settlers at dawn vandalized property of Palestinian farmers and uprooted a number of olive trees in Rujeib town east of Nablus.

Head of Rujeib village council and owner of the land that was attacked Walid Dweikat said that the settlers broke eight olive trees, blocked a water well with garbage and destroyed some stone walls in the area.

Dweikat pointed out that the targeted land is located between Beit Furik town and Itamar settlement built by force on privately-owned Palestinian lands.

Israeli Live Rounds, Tear Gas Canisters Set Fire to Palestinian Trees and Crops

The heavy firing of live ammunition and tear gas canisters, by Israeli forces, during confrontations that erupted on Thursday, in the village of Sebastia, to the northwest of Nablus, caused fire to break out, causing damage to agricultural crops and trees, said a local official.

Head of Sebastia village council, Mohammad ‘Azem, said an Israeli military force stormed the town amid the heavy firing of live ammunition and tear gas canisters toward the village locals and their homes, causing a nearby land planted with trees and crops to catch fire.

No injuries or arrests were reported, according to WAFA.

Forces reportedly removed a Palestinian flag that was raised at an archaeological site in the village.

Israeli Soldiers Invade Homes In Azzoun

Dozens of Israeli soldiers invaded, on Saturday at dawn, the town of ‘Azzoun, east of the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia, and isolated a neighborhood before storming and violently searching ten homes.

The soldiers surrounded and isolated al-Mintar neighborhood, and conducted violent searches of ten homes, causing excessive damage.

During the invasions, the soldiers fired many flares, concussion grenades and gas bombs, leading fires in some homes, and causing scores of residents to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation.

Palestinian medics and firefighters rushed to the town, provided the needed treatment to the wounded Palestinians, and extinguished fires, which erupted in some homes.

Israeli settlers burn cultivated Palestinian lands in Yatta

Israeli settlers on Monday burned down 30 dunums of cultivated Palestinian land lots in al-Khalil’s southern town of Yatta.

Coordinator for the popular anti-settlement committee south of al-Khalil, Rateb Jabour, said Israelis residing in Ma’on illegal settlement outpost set fire to Palestinian crops in the nearby Khilet al-Adra area.

The destroyed crops reportedly belong to the Shawaheen family and are annually used by local Palestinian farmers and shepherds to feed their livestock during winter season.

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces photographed Palestinian homes and tents in Sosiya, in Yatta.

5 Gazans including infant injured after 2 homes caught on fire

Five Palestinians including a one-month-old baby on Saturday were injured after their homes caught on fire in Gaza Strip.

Medical sources at al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza said that infant Mohammad Shaban, from Jabalya, suffered third-degree burns because of a heater in his family’s home. The four others were wounded after a fire flared in their home in al-Tufaah neighborhood in Gaza city.

Earlier on Friday evening, a 5-month-old baby girl died because of a blaze that flared up in her family’s house, in al-Sabrah neighborhood south of Gaza, because of torching a candle.

The Palestinians in Gaza have to use candles for illumination and other dangerous primitive heating methods because of the ongoing Gaza siege which has been imposed for 11 years, leaving the Strip with no electricity for long hours each day.

5-month-old Palestinian child dies due to Gaza siege

A 5-month-old Palestinian baby girl died on Friday in a blaze that flared in her family’s home in al-Sabra neighborhood in Gaza city.

The Palestinian Civil Defense said that the home of Jamil Dughmush caught on fire resulting in the death of his little baby Jumana.

The fire was caused by torching a candle in one of the rooms in the house in light of electricity cut off. The people of Gaza have to use candles for illumination since there is no electricity due to the ongoing Gaza siege which has been imposed on the coastal enclave for 11 years.
