Israeli navy and forces opened fire today at Palestinian fishermen sailing off the Gaza Strip and at farmers to the east of Khan Younis in two separate incidents, said local sources.
Israeli naval boats opened fire on fishermen despite sailing within the unilaterally designated fishing zone offshore Gaza City, causing damage to at least one boat.
Meanwhile, Israeli soldiers stationed at military watchtowers along the Gaza perimeter fence to the east of Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip, opened random fire toward Palestinian farmers as they were working in their own farms. No injuries were reported.
Attacks by Israeli forces on Palestinian fishermen and farmers in Gaza are almost a daily occurrence, and are rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Two Palestinian citizens were wounded on Saturday when Israeli settlers, escorted by armed forces, attacked Palestinian farmers in Masafer Yatta in the West Bank district of al-Khalil.
Local sources said that hordes of settlers, accompanied by an army force, stormed al-Khrouba and Maghayer al-Obeid areas in Masafer Yatta and attacked Palestinian farmers and shepherds.
The settlers tried to force the Palestinian farmers and shepherds out of the attacked areas with the help of Israeli soldiers, stole a donkey and assaulted two Palestinian citizens.
One of the injured is activist Basel al-Adra, a member of Hemaya and Somoud Committee who was attacked while documenting the settler violations.
Eyewitnesses said that al-Adra was violently beaten by the Israeli settlers who also seized his camera.
A Palestinian citizen identified as Shehada Salama suffered injuries in the same attack.
Israeli soldiers later expelled by force all Palestinian farmers in al-Khrouba area and announced it a “closed military zone”.
Al-Khrouba and Maghayer al-Obeid are among 19 Palestinian hamlets in Masafer Yatta which are classified as “Area C” (administered by Israel) according to the Olso Accords.
Palestinian communities in Masafer Yatta suffer from regular settler attacks on their property that are rarely prosecuted and sometimes backed by Israeli authorities.
Israeli settlers attack Palestinian farmers in Masafer Yatta attending to their lands
Israeli settlers attacked today Palestinian farmers as they were working in their lands in Masafer Yatta in the south of the West Bank, according to Fouad Amour, a local activist.
He told WAFA that settlers attacked the farmers in Khirbet al-Khrouba as they were harvesting their crops and attacked an activist who was with the farmers and seized his camera while he was filming the attack.
Israeli soldiers in the area gave cover to the settlers and intervened only to force the farmers to leave their land.
Settlers also attacked residents in another village in Masafer Yatta, said Amour.
He said the settlers attacked the village of Khirbet Maghayer el-Abeed, beat one resident and stole his donkey before leaving it.
Residents of the villages sterilized the area where the settlers and soldiers were after they left it fearing they brought coronavirus with them.

A Palestinian herder was injured today as illegal Jewish settlers attacked Palestinian herders who were grazing sheep in open pastures near the village of Tuwaneh, south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank, according to a local official.
Fouad al-Amour, a Palestinian official in charge of monitoring Israeli settlement activities in the area, told WAFA that settlers, protected by Israeli soldiers, attacked herders and chased them out of the pastures, injuring one of them. video
The herder injured was identified as Akram Raba'ee, 20.
Shepherds in the area, mainly nomadic Bedouins, make a living from raising livestock and they often take their sheep to the open pastures for their food.
Attacks by settlers against herders and other civilians in the area aim to force them to leave their homes and land, located in what is known as Area C, which makes over 60 percent of the area of the occupied West Bank.
Israel is trying to fill the region with settlers and later annex it to its sovereignty after displacing its indigenous Palestinian population.

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Friday ordered the removal of several Palestinian agricultural facilities in the villages of Jiftlik and Furush Beit Dajan in the northern Jordan Valley.
Activist Aref Daraghmeh, who monitors IOF violations in the Jordan Valley, said that the IOF stormed the two villages and handed the owners of the facilities military orders asking them to dismantle the structures within a short time.
Israel is banning almost all kinds of Palestinian agricultural, industrial and housing development in the Jordan Valley. All falls in a line with a long-term plan to annex the area which makes up about one third of the West Bank.

Israeli bulldozers on Thursday evening embarked on razing a vast tract of Palestinian agricultural land in Burin town, south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.
Eyewitnesses said that the bulldozers razed the land under military protection in the area near the house of Umm Ayman Sufan family.
Such measure means that the Israeli occupation authority (IOA), as always, gave itself the right to seize the land for a settlement expansion project.
The IOA carries out bulldozing activities almost on a daily basis in different Palestinian areas of the West Bank.

Israeli settlers today afternoon attacked a Palestinian shepherd to the east of Yatta, south of the occupied West Bank city of Hebron, local sources said.
Fo'ad Amour, a local rights activist, told WAFA that a number of fanatic Israeli settlers forced their way into farmlands in At-Tuwani locality, east of Yatta, under heavy military protection by Israeli forces, where they assaulted shepherds, injuring one of them and causing terror among local residents.
Settler violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
Settlers' violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.
There are almost 834,000 Israeli settlers living in colonial settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
The number of settlers has almost tripled since the Oslo Accords of 1993, when settlers’ number estimated 252,000. Illegal colonial settlements have leapt from 144 to 515 in that time.
Israel’s nation-state law states that building and strengthening the settlements is a “national interest.”

Israeli colonial settlers unleashed their cattle, on Wednesday, onto Palestinian-owned farm lands in the northern Alghour area of the Jordan Valley, in the West Bank.
Local legal activist, Aref Daraghma, told Palestinian Wafa News Agency that tens of cows were released onto farm lands of wheat and barely, in the Umm al-Qaba village in the Alghour area.
The legal activist believed that those cattle, which belong to Israeli colonists, living nearby, have been herded excessively, causing large quantities of wheat and barley to be destroyed.
Palestinian farm lands have recently been frequently exposed to attacks by nearby illegal Israeli settlers in the Alghour area of the Jordan Valley, which is considered to be a rich farming region.

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Wednesday afternoon confiscated Palestinian excavation equipment in Beit Dajan town in the West Bank district of Nablus.
Local sources said that the IOF stormed the eastern area of Beit Dajan and seized a Palestinian-owned excavator that was working there.
The IOF claimed the land where the excavation work was taking place is part of Area C, which is exclusively administered by Israel based on the Oslo Accords.
Beit Dajan’s residents are constantly attacked and harassed by Israeli soldiers and settlers who plan to take over more lands of the town to build and expand settlements.

In a step Israeli settlers often follow as a prelude to seize Palestinian land, several settlers today set up a mobile home in the northern West Bank village of Qaryout, south of Nablus, according to a local official.
Ghassan Daghlas, a Palestinian official who monitors Israeli settlement activities in the north of the West Bank, said settlers from the illegal Shilo settlement placed a mobile home on Qaryout village land.
He said the settlers are taking advantage of the lockdown in the West Bank in light of the coronavirus outbreak to seize Palestinian land and establish a settlement outpost.
Settlers yesterday also chopped 36 olive trees in the same village, said Daghlas.
