Hordes of Israeli settlers on Friday raided Palestinian farmlands and assaulted shepherds in Um Rukba area in the northern Jordan Valley.
Local sources said that dozens of Israeli settlers stormed the area, wreaked havoc on farmlands, attacked Palestinian shepherds and forced them out of their fields.
Israeli settlers, usually backed by armed forces, regularly attack Palestinian farmers and shepherds in the Jordan Valley and steal parts of their lands to use them for settlement expansion.

The Israeli military demolished today a nursery in a southern West Bank village under the pretext it was built without a permit, according to a local official.
Hasan Breijieh, director of the Wall and Settlements Resistance office in Bethlehem, told WAFA that soldiers raided Jourat al-Shamaa village, south of Bethlehem, and demolished an agricultural nursery owned by Mahmoud Abu Hammad.
He said the army has informed several other Palestinians in the Bethlehem district of plans to demolish their structures for construction without a permit.
The area in question is classified as C, according to the Oslo accords, which is under full Israeli military rule and makes up more than 60 percent of the area of the occupied West Bank where Palestinians are not allowed to develop or build anything.

Khirbet Tana is inhabited by about 250 Palestinian citizens who work in livestock breeding and agriculture, and they are constantly harassed by Israeli settlers.
There are nearly 503 random settler outposts in the West Bank and Jerusalem covering over 46% of their area. Around 800,000 Israeli settlers live there and carry out almost daily attacks on the Palestinians.

Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors settlement construction in the northern West Bank, confirmed that a group of settlers from the nearby Israeli colonial settlement of Rechelim chopped off some 40 olive trees belonging to Abdul-Rahman Mohammad Yousef, a local Palestinian farmer.
Settler violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

For the third day in a row, Israeli military vehicles infiltrated the Gaza Strip borders and razed land, reported WAFA correspondent.
Several army vehicles breached the northern Gaza borders east of Gaza City, went in dozens of meters into agricultural land east of Zaytoun neighborhood to the southeast of Gaza City, razed land and built dirt mounds while shooting in the air, he said.
The army also prevented farmers from reaching their lands.
Israel unilaterally enforces a 300-meter deep buffer zone inside the Gaza Strip on their common borders and often shoots at anyone who enters this area.

A Palestinian fisherman was wounded on Tuesday morning when the Israeli occupation navy opened fire at him off the coast of al-Sudaniya area, north of the Gaza Strip.
A local committee documenting Israeli violations against Gaza fishermen said that 25-year-old fisherman Ziyad Baker was injured by a rubber bullet in his head and received medical assistance at al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.
The committee added that naval forces on a gunboat fired some rubber bullets at Baker and his boat and detained him for a while before letting him go.

Israeli settlers today planted trees in a Palestinian-owned land in an area south of the southern West Bank city of Bethlehem in a prelude to taking it over, according to a local official.
Hasan Breijieh, director of the Bethlehem office of the Wall and Settlements Resistance Commission, told WAFA that settlers planted olive trees in a land owned by Zeinab Abu Sneineh in an area near the village of Irtas. This step is usually a prelude to seizing the land.
