Israeli war minister Naftali Bennett has threatened to destroy all Palestinian structures in West Bank areas under complete Israeli control (Area C), including that which Europeans funded, at the pretext of unlicensed construction.
Bennett made his threat during his meeting last week with ambassadors of European Union states.
He called on Europeans to direct their money towards humanitarian aid instead of what he called unlicensed construction.
The minister’s threat came one day after the Israeli army’s central region commander announced a plan to launch an unprecedented demolition campaign against Palestinian buildings in Area C of the West Bank.
The occupied West Bank was divided into three areas - A, B and C - as part of the Oslo Accords, signed by the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and Israel in 1993 and 1995.
The agreements led to the establishment of the Palestinian Authority (PA), which was granted limited powers of governance in Areas A and B.
But the outcomes of the Oslo Accords have instead left Israel in complete control of the Palestinian economy, as well as its civil and security matters in more than 60 percent of the West Bank, designated as Area C.
Despite granting the PA control over administrative and internal security matters in parts of the West Bank, Israel maintains military control over the entire area.

The Israeli occupation army has verbally ordered a Palestinian storeowner to close the doors of his business near the Ibrahimi Mosque in the Old City of al-Khalil as a prelude to carrying out its plan to build a Jewish settler neighborhood in the area.
According to local sources, Israeli soldiers ordered the storeowner to shut down his store permanently as part of a plan to seize scores of homes and stores near the Ibrahimi Mosque and the central wholesale market in al-Shuhada street in order to build a neighborhood for Jewish settlers.
Israeli war minister Naftali Bennett on Sunday announced his intent to build a new Jewish-only settlement in the vicinity of the Ibrahimi Mosque and in the wholesale market street.
The market area is on al-Khalil’s once-bustling Shuhada Street, which leads to the Islamic holy site, the Ibrahimi Mosque.
The street is now largely closed off to Palestinians, who have long demanded that it be reopened. The Israeli army closed this street with its homes and stores after one of the extremist Jewish settlers committed a massacre against Muslim worshipers at the Ibrahimi Mosque in 1994.

Israeli soldiers demolished, earlier Tuesday, a water reservoir in the Tubas meadows, in northeastern West Bank.
Palestinian human rights activist Aref Daraghma said several army jeeps, and bulldozers invaded the area, and demolished the reservoir, owned by Adnan Sawafta.
Daraghma added that the destroyed water reservoir, located in Einoun area, had the capacity to store 1000 cubic meters of water, and was used for irrigating hundreds of Dunams of farmlands in Tubas Meadows.
This is the second time the army demolishes the reservoir in the last few months under various allegations, especially since Israel is trying to confiscate more lands for the construction and expansion of its illegal colonies, built on occupied lands in direct violation of International Law.

Israeli settlers today chased down Palestinian sheep herders and international supporters away from their pastures in the Jordan Valley in the occupied West Bank, according Aref Daraghmeh, a local activist.
He said the settlers forced the sheep herders to leave the area and assaulted some of the international supporters who were accompanying them in solidarity.
Israeli settlers are known for their attacks on Palestinians, but assaults on Palestinian farmers and herders have been frequent over the past few weeks, since the Trump administration announced that the U.S. would support Israel’s illegal attempts to annex the Jordan Valley.
Armed settlers and soldiers often prevent Palestinian shepherds from herding in the open pastures of the occupied West Bank in order to force them to abandon the area.
This would make space for the Israeli settlers to further colonize this area, which belongs to Palestinian landowners, but which is coveted by Israeli colonizers.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) behind the border fence in the east of the Gaza Strip intensively opened fire towards agricultural areas, with no regard for anyone who could have been hurt by their random shootings.
Local sources said that Israeli soldiers on Sunday morning opened fire sporadically and randomly from some of their posts and military vehicles towards different agricultural areas along the border fence in Gaza.
They added that no one was hurt by the gunfire attacks.
The shootings happened mainly in the east of al-Qarara town and Khuza’ah town, where there was thick fog.

Palestinian BDS National Committee (BNC) / France
AXA invests hundreds of millions of dollars in fossil fuels, insures polluting businesses, and invests $91 million in Israel’s weapons and its expanding settlements, which destroy the environment.
The 4th global Climate Strike today falls on the same day as the UN Day of Solidarity with Palestinian People. This coincidence reflects an important reality – Palestine is also a climate justice issue.
Today, groups worldwide are joining mobilisations challenging the climate crisis, demanding an end to fossil fuel use and climate justice for all. Many are also demanding an end to Israel’s climate apartheid.
Both the climate crisis and Israeli apartheid are fueled by governments and corporations that put profit before people and planet. The French insurance giant AXA is one example.
Tell AXA: Divest from Israel’s colonial regime and from fossil fuels destroying the planet
Though AXA has just pledged new commitments and policies on coal, it still invests hundreds of millions of dollars in fossil fuels and insures polluting businesses. AXA claims to respect human rights but invests $91 million [pdf] in Israel’s largest private arms company, Elbit Systems, and in five Israeli banks which finance Israel’s illegal settlements. Israel’s weapons and its expanding settlements destroy the environment.
Indigenous Palestinians, living under Israeli occupation and apartheid, have no control over our land or natural resources. Israel’s illegal settlements consume six times more water than Palestinians, and since 1967, Israel has uprooted 800,000 olive trees.
Remind AXA: We won’t stop mobilising until it fully divests from Israeli apartheid and fossil fuels
Israeli apartheid is not green. 97.7% of Israel’s electricity comes from fossil fuels. Warfare, a pillar of Israel’s economy, is one of the world’s most polluting industries.
The struggles against racism and militarization, and for climate, economic and social justice are profoundly interconnected. Join mobilisations on November 29th to call for respect of Palestinian rights and an end to fossil fuel use.

A group of Israeli settlers on Friday morning chopped off dozens of Palestinian-owned olive trees in al-Sawiya village, south of Nablus.
Anti-settlement activist Ghassan Daghlas said that Israeli settlers from the illegal settlement of Rahalim cut down about 30 olive trees owned by the Palestinian citizen Mahmoud Sulaiman in al-Sawiya.
Daghlas added that the settlers erected a tent in the area probably in a prelude to establish an illegal settler outpost.
